🛡️The EU's Digital Services Act (DSA) and the UK's Online Safety Act (OSA), which aim to improve online safety, are both making progress, each with different enforcement and guidance updates.
The EU has designated 23 Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) and two Very Large Online Search Engines (VLOSEs), launched a transparency database and issued guidance to support compliance with the DSA, with national regulators now overseeing enforcement. 💶 The company behind the Untold music festival was fined 15,000 EUR by the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) for GDPR violations. Untold SRL failed to grant a person access to their personal data and did not address their data deletion request within the required timeframe.
ANSPDCP issued two fines: 10,000 EUR for denying data access and 5,000 EUR for failing to process the deletion request. Corrective measures were also imposed, including responding to requests and implementing GDPR-compliant procedures… read more (article in Romanian).

💶 The Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) has fined Vodafone Romania €5,000 for GDPR non-compliance after it sent emails without protecting the confidentiality of recipients by failing to hide email addresses.
