The report includes a guidance review carried out among stakeholders and, for the first time, a thematic digest featuring a selection of final One-Stop-Shop decisions.

🌐 The GDPR impacted European companies' tech stacks significantly and it can teach us a lot about the balance between efficiency and flexibility in the digital world. 👇
The authors studied 400 e-commerce firms to explore the implications of GDPR on their tech infrastructure. They found that companies using tightly integrated technologies from closely linked suppliers struggled more when GDPR came into force, while those with more flexible tech combinations performed better.
This raises some interesting questions about digital transformation: Should companies aim for optimal integration or build a flexible backbone that accommodates an ecosystem of smaller, best-in-class services?
